Starting Wednesday, drivers in Galloway Township will need to find a different route as Tilton Road will be closed for drainage improvements. The closure will affect the stretch between the White Horse Pike and Aloe Street and is expected to last from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day until Friday, weather permitting.
While businesses in the area will remain open, access may be impacted due to the roadwork. Motorists are advised to follow posted detours or seek alternate routes to avoid the closure.
Tilton Road, which carries County Route 563 through the area, is maintained by Atlantic County. County officials have urged drivers to plan their travel time accordingly during the closure period.
The road closure is part of a larger effort to improve safety and infrastructure in the area.
